The artistic group Maraguan belonging to Camaguey University finished its presentations in Ourense International Festival in Spain and besides they will perform in a folk meeting in Cieza, also the same region. Their tour along the Iberian Peninsula started the half of July in Caceres Festival. Their next performances will be presented in Cieza , Spain and a special performance in Madrid finishing their tour in the Folklore Festival of Mediterranean in Murcia, from 6 to 10th of next month.
The Cuban film “Jose Marti: el ojo del canario” obtained the second prize awarded by the audience in Film Festival of Lima, Peru. The film directed by Fernando Perez has been inspired in the childhood and adolescence of our National Hero. It has been exhibited in the capital and many provinces and praised by the spectators and press showing Marti as a common human being with his desires, fear, dreams and disappointment.
