Musica+3: Bis Music, Musicalia and Clave Cubana anniversaries.
BisMusic, record label from Artex is celebrating its 20th anniversary in the XVII edition of the International Fair Cubadisco with 27 nominations. Three albums are nominated in Trova category: “A la mitad del camino” by Nelson Valdes; “Timbiriche” by Tony Avila and “ Ustedes no saben na de la trova” by Frank Delgado. “Naranjo en flor” by Liuba Maria Hevia and “ Bueno “ by Descemer Bueno have more than one nomination. For the Grand Prix is nominated the CD-DVD “ Santiago de Cuba en Carnaval”, for lovers of traditional conga, which includes Santiago´s history and constitutes one of the most important albums from BisMusic.
Besides this celebration, Clave Cubana, an agency from Artex is also celebrating its 15th anniversary bringing about that these agencies get together in a project called “Musica+3”, with dissimilar activities focused on promoting landmarks and advances of these agencies , diffusing new projects and products, and revealing the cultural benefits they offered to our country. Undoubtedly, this celebration will inform the market leadership reached by the three agencies while promoting and commercializing the Cuban musical product.

Cubadisco , our great Cuban music celebration, opens its doors on May.
Cubadisco, our great Cuban music celebration in its XVII edition, to be held on May 18th to 26th is dedicated to youth, violin and concert music. Ecuador will be our guest of honor. The XVII Cubadisco International Fair will take place in Havana from May 18th to 26th aimed to young people, concert music lovers and all those who enjoy violin in all its classical, traditional and popular forms.
Many concerts will be performed with Cuban and foreign artists, among which there will be a memorable encounter between Aragón Orchestra and Original from Manzanillo Orchestra. There will also be performances of the most leading dance collectives in the country. They will all be celebrating, among other things, more than four decades of Van Van. Young jazz musicians, rappers, rockers and rumberos will perform and fuse different music genres and other arts as well as artists previously nominated and awarded are attending the event.
The festival will prioritize young people throughout its extensive program taking into account that our artistic education has played an important role for youth in Cuban music. The presence of well-known international artists will be an extra draw for the public. Award ceremony, press meetings, National Symphonic Orchestra concerts, children’s activities, jam sessions, traditional peasant music, Afro-Cuban dance and percussion workshops and the renowned International Symposium for discussion of topics related to the cultural industry are some of the activities scheduled for such event.
Gala Cuba: Music-Fashion is another space in this important event which is an opportunity to mix the most modern ideas of fashion and jazz linked to the different genres of Cuban music, keeping the three guiding principles of the event: Music, Image and Sound.
